The summer season has finally arrived. We had quite a bit of rain over June, so it is nice to see the sun.

Warm days and the sometimes cooler evenings show the fashion statement of the shrugs, which show off your special outfit or dresses up the simple t-shirt.

Kureyon and Silk Garden have added lots of new colors ranging from bright to set green tones.

Colinette improved their line of yarns by taking even more care with color effects and quality.

New yarns will start arriving soon calling in the fall knitting season.

Crochet has made a comeback and people all over have started to learn to crochet. Have you tried to crochet a scarf, shawl, shrug or bolero type shrug? The fancy ribbon yarns show nice effects. You can find some free patterns, beside the ones you receive with this email, on our website at

Note by a fellow knitter: "Sometimes my hands get very hot and the needles don’t slide easily, so I switched to the bamboo needles. They seem to work nicely and I have no problems then knitting over summertime."

Do you have a harder time knitting over summer? Try the Bamboo knitting needles or the Rosewood knitting needles. They are great if you have Arthritis also.
