Felted Bag ( shown in Air)

You can use any 20sts wool for this bag . More choices: Kureyon, Galway

Balls : used 3 @ 50g in Air

Needles: 6.5mm circular 60cm length and set of 4 needles in 6.5mm

Stitch markers

Cast on 32sts with the circular needle.

Knit in garter stitch for 30 rows. Do not cut yarn.

Now pick up and knit all the stitches around the base. Join in round. Place stitch marker.

Knit in round for 58 rounds.

Attach 2^nd strand of wool and cast off all stitches with the 2 strands held together.

Make a 6 feet long I -cord.

Felting:

Place your bag and I cord into the washing machine ( into a pillowcase ). Wash your bag on hot water with other heavy items together. Check before the end of the cycle if you have reached your desired size and felting effect. If not , repeat cycle.

When your bag is dry, fold your back as shown below and insert two smaller needles into the points shown below. Replace the smaller needles with thicker once until you have made holes large enough to string the I cord through. Note: The ends of the I cord should be on the inside of the bag, so you can make a knot and it doesn’t show on the outside ( or you can sew it together)

Decorate your bag.
