Crochet Bag

Materials: Fresco: 2 balls Crochet Hook 5.0mm and 2 handles (used 1974-95 x 2)

Stitch marker

Abbreviations: ch = chain

Sc= single crochet

Slip stitch= insert hook, draw yarn through bother loops

Dc= double crochet: wrap yarn over hook (yo), insert hook, wrap yarn over hook and draw yarn thru, ( 3 loops on hook), yarn over draw thru first 2 loops, ( 2 loops left on hook), yarn over again and draw thru remaining 2

Base: Chain 35.

First row: sc to end ch1, turn.

Repeat last row 5 times. Do not cut yarn.

Main part: Work in rounds: 34 sc along one side of the base, 2 sc into corner, 4 sc along one end of base, 2 sc into corner, 34sc along other side of the base, 2 sc, 4 sc along other end, 2sc into last corner. Place a stitch marker. Proceed now for all rows in round, facing outside of bag.

Next: Ch1( counts as first sc), sc around, join with slip stitch to first sc.

Repeat last row 2 times.

Next: Chain2 ( counts as first dc), dc around, join with slip stitch to first dc.

Repeat last row 10 times.

Next: Ch1( counts as first sc), sc around, join with slip stitch to first sc.

Repeat last row 3 times.

Next: Chain2 ( counts as first dc), dc around, join with slip stitch to first dc.

Repeat last row 1 times.

Next: *Chain 3, miss one sc, sc into next sc, repeat from * to end of row. Finish off.

Turn last two dc rows outside ( as border).

Sew on or crochet on the handles.
