Requirements: 4 balls of
Fresco
50g knitted band type yarn 81yds(74m) 18sts gauge.
Needles:40 cm long 5.0mm circular needle ( in addition sets of 4 double
pointed if it easier for you to pick up
stitches around base first with those),
stitch markers ( 3 of one color, 1 of another color to mark begin of work,
Stitch holder.
Abbreviations: yo= yarn over needle
skp= slip one stitch, knit 1 stitch, pass slipped stitch over knitted stitch.
k2tog= knit 2 stitches together
Beginning: Base of Bag: Cast on 44sts. Knit 30 rows. Do not
cast off. Place stitch marker ( first of 3),
pick up knit wise ( outside of
base) 16sts along smaller side, place stitch marker (second of 3), 44sts along
long
side, place stitch marker (3rd of 3) and 16sts along smaller side (other),
place stitch marker ( separate color).
You have now joined around and you are
working on the outside of the bag.
Knit 3 rows in round.
Next :*yo, skp, rep from * until 50 rows are finished. (until you can count 50
holes diagonal of the pattern starting
at the base to the top).
Knit one row.
Next row: Knit 44along long one side of bag, (k2tog) x 8, knit 44 (k2tog) x 8
Next: Knit 44long one side of bag, (k2tog) x 4, knit 44 (k2tog) x 4
Next: row: Knit 44along one side of bag, (k2tog) x 2, knit 44 (k2tog) x 2
Knit 1row.
1st Handle: Knit 46 (leave remaining stitches on stitch holder )turn
.Take off the stitch markers

Next row: Skp, knit to last 2sts, k2tog. Turn**
Repeat from ** to ** 6 times.
Next row: Skp, knit 9, bind off 10sts, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. Turn
Next: Knit 10sts, cast on 10sts, knit to end, turn.
Repeat from ** to ** until 20sts are left on needle, cast off. Cut yarn.
2nd Handle: Slip stitches from stitch holder onto needle and join yarn
facing the outside of the bag. Knit 2 rows.

Next row: Skp, knit to last 2sts, k2tog. Turn**
Repeat from ** to ** 6 times.
Next row: Skp, knit 9, bind off 10sts, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. Turn
Next: Knit 10sts, cast on 10sts, knit to end, turn.
Repeat from ** to ** until 20sts are left on needle, cast off. Cut yarn.
Sew in ends and enjoy shopping or a walk to the beach.
