Brilliant Shrug or Shoulder Cover

Size: fits most adults ( S, M,L)

Materials: 5 balls of Brilliant    (click on)

Needles: straight needles 7.0mm and 5mm

Abbreviations: k= knit, p= purl, sts= stitches, p2tog= purl 2 stitches together

k2tog= knit 2 stitches together

Cast on 80sts.

Knit 6 rows.

Pattern row : Knit 5, * yo, k2tog, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5.

Repeat the Pattern row until the piece is long enough from one elbow across to the other elbow.

Knit 6 row.

Next row: *K1, k2tog, repeat from * to last 2 sts, K2.

Make arm borders:

Change to 5mm needles.

Next row: *K2, P2, repeat from * to end of row.

Next row: *P2, K2, repeat from * to end of row.

Repeat the last two rows 5 times.

Next row: *K2, P2tog, repeat from * to end of row.

Next row: *P2, K1, repeat from * to end of row.

Next row: * K2, P1, repeat from * to end of row.

Repeat the last two rows 4 times.

Cast off.

Attach yarn to cast on sts on other side and pick up 80sts.

Next row: *K1, k2tog, repeat from * to last 2 sts, K2.

Change to 5mm needles.

Next row: *K2, P2, repeat from * to end of row.

Next row: *P2, K2, repeat from * to end of row.

Repeat the last two rows 5 times.

Next row: *K2, P2tog, repeat from * to end of row.

Next row: *P2, K1, repeat from * to end of row.

Next row: * K2, P1, repeat from * to end of row.

Repeat the last two rows 4 times.

Cast off.

Sew long side seam from one cast off arm border towards under arm for 10", repeat for other side.
