Alpaca Silk Poncho

Requirement: 12 balls Alpaca Silk, 12mm needles (US 17), 2 stitch marker

Make two piece:
Cast on with 2 strands held together 40sts.
Knit 10 rows.
Next row: Knit 15, place stitch marker, purl 10, place stitch marker, knit 15sts.
*Knit one row
Next row: Knit 15, purl10, knit15sts.**
Repeat last two rows twice.
*Next row: Knit 15, slip 5sts onto cable needle (hold in front of work), knit next 5 sts, then knit 5 sts off cable needle, knit to end of row
Next row: Knit 15, purl 10, knit 15sts.
Knit one row.
Repeat last 2 rows 3 times.
Next row: Knit 15, purl 10, knit 15sts.**
Repeat from * to ** 4 times.
Next row: Knit 15, purl 10, knit 15sts.
Knit one row.
Repeat last two rows twice.
Knit 10 rows. Cast off loosely.

Finishing: place short end of piece #1 onto long side of other piece #2( leaving 12" of long piece un-sewn for neck line). Place short side of #2 onto long side of #1 (leaving at the same side 12" for neckline)


You can add fringes ( needs 1 for short fringes, 2 balls for long fringes)
